At a glance
DA VITTORIO SHANGHAI is the Cerea family’s first restaurant outside Europe, on the Bund at the Bund Finance Centre. The dining room has 14 tables and 40 seats, plus four connectable private rooms and a 16-seat banquet room. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Leonardo Zambrino and serves Italian cooking with a seafood focus, including Paccheri alla Vittorio and Uovo all’uovo; the cellar holds more than 700 labels. The restaurant holds two MICHELIN stars in the 2026 Shanghai selection.[1] [2]
Cooking & identity
The cooking is Italian in reference and Shanghai in sourcing: the Cerea family’s seafood-focused menu, iconic house dishes and a serious wine list, with local ingredients used to extend rather than replace the Italian base.[1] [2]
The restaurant’s stated philosophy
Paraphrased from the restaurant, its group or a named chef’s statement.
The restaurant’s own page describes the project as bringing the Cerea family’s “impeccable hospitality and cutting-edge cuisine” to Shanghai, with creative use of local ingredients and a first-rate Italian food-and-wine experience.
The same page explains the kitchen’s continuity: a seafood-focused menu in the Cerea tradition, iconic dishes such as Paccheri alla Vittorio and Uovo all’uovo, and a team that explores local flavours. The MICHELIN Guide adds the Lombard tradition and local Chinese ingredients in Zambrino’s cooking.

Independent observations
ChefsLanding · · Editorial commentary on the public record
A family restaurant from Bergamo opening on the Bund is a test of whether hospitality travels. The view and the 700-label cellar are easy; the harder part is keeping the Cerea seafood cooking precise when the ingredients and the diners change.
The official chef page is honest about a gap: Zambrino’s 2013–2015 Bergamo work and 2025 return are documented, the decade between is not. That is a better record than a padded biography. We would follow the Paccheri and the local sourcing, not the family-tree poster.
