At a glance

Co- is a Chengdu restaurant in the Chinese Financial Center, led by the husband-and-wife chef-founders Yang Jin and You Meiyi. It blends French technique, coastal flavour memories and Sichuan-Chongqing ingredients, with its own eco-farm about 20 kilometres from the restaurant. The dining room has five tables a night; the restaurant holds one MICHELIN star and entered Asia’s 50 Best at No.69 in 2026.[1] [2] [3]

Cooking & identity

The cooking is French in technique and personal in reference: coastal memories, Sichuan-Chongqing produce and farm-grown ingredients, rather than a fixed regional menu. The five-table room keeps the scale intimate.[1] [2]

Why this profile is included

Included through a MICHELIN star, Asia’s 50 Best 2026 extended list No.69 and a dated 2026 six-hands announcement at Aji. The restaurant’s public description is paraphrased from the MGM announcement and the Asia profile; no direct first-person statement was found.[1] [2] [3]

Independent observations

ChefsLanding · · Editorial commentary on the public record

Co- is a useful counter to the idea that a tasting menu needs a big room and a big city address. Five tables, an eco-farm and a husband-and-wife team are a different scale of ambition. The risk is that the farm story becomes the main course.

The MGM six-hands gives us a dated, named collaboration to follow. We would watch what the couple cooks away from Chengdu, not the press release’s adjectives.
